Sometime ago I uploaded a video to YouTube showing an early version of a laser tracking application I developed:
The algorithm is really simple:
- Capture image
- Separate color components (RGB)
- Search the red component for the brightest pixel, it will show the laser location
In spite of its simplicity, it works really well under certain conditions. There are several options for improving it, can you think of any?
